Michael Giebelhouse is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. Michael has experience providing individual and family therapy with at-risk youth, young adults and their families to reduce out of home placement, DCF involvement, and residential treatment in a variety of settings including in-home, schools, and an outpatient setting.
Michael utilizes client centered approach to therapy empowering each client to set their own goals for treatment. Michael offers an open and non-judgmental therapeutic setting incorporating different therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy Techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Techniques, and Person-Centered Therapy to each client to meet their own goals.
